Partial Solar Eclipse

Partial Solar Eclipse

An event like a solar eclipse, partial or total, is not to be missed, as far as I'm concerned, it's a magical event. In Andalucia the sun was 95% covered, but some areas of Spain saw totality. DSC01471

I can only wonder what our ancestors thoughts were when the sky turned dark but the sun is still up before the understanding of such events. DSC01463

I'm a keen photographer, mostly wildlife, nature etc, I didn't do enough research in how to photograph an eclipse, I brought glasses for our eyes but I didn't buy a filter for the lens or practice in time before the event, so I just blagged it. To be honest I'm pretty happy with the results considering I didn't really know what I was doing. DSC01474 DSC01476

Next year we down here in the far south get a chance at totality in August again and believe it or not the following year in January we get another, but this time the spectacular annular eclipse. Spain is the eclipse capital for a few years and I will have done a lot of research before next August! DSC01475 DSC01471-1-
