Mission accomplished
Mission today was to locate the 5th Gentian that can be seen in the Sierra Nevada (there are 6 apparently).
Vasar de Mulhacen
The clouds enveloped us on and off. A big boom of thunder decided where we would spend the night.
Ladder Snake and Calima
Bumped into this beautiful Ladder snake having a snooze, warming up, or whatever he was doing, on the dog walk yesterday morning.
Cerro de los Machos
We took the national park bus up into the Sierra Nevada. Then we dropped down into the impressive Corral de Veleta and started our ascent up Cerro de los Machos.
A round of the northern peaks
This time we did an overnight camp to enable us to do this round trip. It was a short walk on the first day to our overnight camp spot at Lavaderos de la Reina.
Doggie bath time
The annual bathing of the dogs happened today, Rita is super white again 😎 Arko is dirtier than before
A walk up Cerro de Caballo
Another grand day out in the mountains this time we went up Cerro de Caballo (3009m).

A grand storm
We had the most amazing storm. Ahead of the storm some very cool Mammatus clouds formed.
My favourite walk in the Sierra Nevada
We had the most amazing day today, again, in another of my favourite mountain areas and it didn't fail with it's beautiful display of wildflowers, many endemic, and nature.
